Green Police 2012 – postponed for Olympics

Currently the Trustees of Save the World Club who manage the Green Police volunteer participation roles are undertaking a number of strategic changes to the Charity which will be fully realised in late 2012 / early 2013. As a result, Save the World Club have decided that it is best practice to postpone the green police programme until the strategic activities are complete.

We hope to have a new Green Police co-ordinator in post later this year, and if you indicate your interest now for next year, they will be be in touch once they have begun their role. We would be grateful if you could let us know if you are able to participate with Green Police in 2013, as we will be renewing links with Glastonbury Festival later this year to do this. You can find out more about Green Police on our website here: http://greenpolice.org.uk/

We will be contacting all Green Police volunteers to explain the situation. In the meantime, we recommend that interested Green police volunteers contact the Go Kingston organisation (previously Kingston Volunteer Centre) to arrange alternative volunteering opportunities within the Olympic in London this summer. More information about this can be found here: http://www.kvc.org.uk/our-projects/gk2012-team/

Thank you for your continued interest with Green Police!
