Southwark 2007

Commisioned by Cantilever trust and a partnership between them, Joseph Lancaster Primary School and the Save the World Club. The mosaics were based on the works of William Shakespeare. The children investigated the plays and then designed the mosaics. They then drew them onto the boards using overhead projectors and proceeded to mosaic the nine pieces.
They then proceeded to mosaic mini beasts around the school pond as we had a few days to spare at the end of the project. The project was deemed a success by all, especially the children, who benefitted immensely by being able to take control of the mosaics and work as a team with their mates and the teachers and artists.
Howard Grange led this full time six week project.
