What We Do

SWC improves the well-being of individuals and communities and protects the planet through inspiring ideas and building new confidence and skills that enable happier, healthier and more sustainable living.

We don’t preach but invite people to get involved by connecting with their creative side, demonstrating that a sustainable way of life doesn’t have to be dull and dreary – but instead, lots of fun!

Our work includes:

  • Creative and engaging skills development, education and learning opportunities such as mosaic art and up-cycling workshops
  • Enabling young people, the planet’s future care-takers, to initiate and lead projects that address local issues that matter to them
  • Practical localised projects that improve the quality of public spaces and services, prevent graffiti and promote local heritage such as high quality community mosaic installations
  • Engaging a strong active network of volunteers who are community champions, promoting well-being through sharing their skills and learning and modelling SWC principles in the community

Community MOSAIC for beginners

We work in outdoor events, festivals, fairs and fun days to bring alive the issues of graffiti and urban regeneration to the general public. We are excited to teach the craft of community mosaic with the Save The World Club award-winning arts team.

We will have tables set up with the work in progress and a team of teachers to advise, cut and manage the public who visit. At previous festivals and events the crowd has been several deep and very exciting and busy to run. The one day workshop also has an exhibition on urban art and displays of previous work in London including several school playgrounds and work for Network Rail and Transport for London underpasses and bridges.

The message is:

  • Anti-Graffiti
  • Using waste materials to make exciting art
  • Urban Regeneration
  • Community empowerment
