On 19 October, Save The World Club attended Namaste Kingston's annual Diwali Utsav - a celebration of the Hindu festival of lights - at The Kingston Academy.

Established in 2023, Namaste Kingston is a not-for-profit organization that aims to promote and preserve Indian culture in the borough of Kingston upon Thames.

The festivities were packed with traditional Indian music and dance acts to keep everyone entertained, while children enjoyed Diwali-themed arts and crafts, face painting and more.

As well as us, over 40 small businesses were present at the event, showcasing their products, alongside stalls of traditional Indian cuisine and art, enriching the cultural experience for the visitors.

The wonderful celebration of Indian culture was attended by a number of eminent guests, including the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston - Liz Green, Sir Ed Davey (MP for Kingston & Surbiton and Leader of the Liberal Democrats), and Sarah Olney (MP for Richmond Park).

Needless to say, everyone had a great time and we look forward to next year's bash!
