Save The World Club had lots of fun during the second half of 2024 celebrating the cultures and cuisines of various nations in Europe and Asia!
The countries explored were: Pakistan, India, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Poland, Iraq, Scotland and Korea. Each event had a demonstration of how to make traditional dishes, and was filled with music and cultural activities.
We also held a "Cultural Games Day" with scores of people playing the Chinese tile-based game Mahjong, table-tennis and Carrom - a tabletop game of Indian origin.
The events were a great success, with nearly 600 attendees in total!
We would like to thank both Kingston Council and Hubbub, whose funding enabled us to deliver the projects, as well as the organizations that collaborated with us: Migrant Advocacy Service, Kingston Beats and Namaste Kingston.
We will be holding further such events during 2025, so if you'd like to attend any future get-togethers, keep an eye on our social media channels or the events page on our website.
