We were honoured to be nominated for three gongs at the Kingston Celebrating Communities Awards ceremony recently. It was a privilege to be recognised amongst the 350 charities and hundreds of voluntary groups that keep this borough going.
With the voluntary sector providing over £29 billion to the UK economy each year, it was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution that community work makes to society, especially now with so many struggling during the cost of living crisis.
Congratulations to all the winners - it was well deserved after so many years of selfless toil and effort to help others. Moreover, we would like to thank Kingston All Saints Church, their volunteers and staff and all the organisers who made it a fantastic evening for those working in the third sector.
