Refugee Help

danielb172

With the Government's plan to send refugees to Rwanda making the headlines, it seems a good time to talk about the work we are doing to help people fleeing their country of birth.

From spring this year, we've been working hard to support refugees moving out of their temporary accommodation into new homes; and in November we finished helping furnish the seventh family's property. This makes a total of 35 people supported through the programme in 2023.

We've also continued to supply them with food while they get settled. Moreover, we're working with our partners at the council to support any remaining needs they may have.

We'd like to thank you, the community, for all your generous donations that have enabled us to furnish homes for these people in need.
